Dr. Reed Ferrick

Education

Dr. Reed Ferrick received his BA from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in1979 and his DMD from the Washington University School of Dental Medicine in 1983. After graduating, he served in the United States Public Health Service Corps for two years before entering private practice.

Continuing Education and Professional Affiliations

An advocate of continuing education, Dr. Ferrick has received specialized training in conscious sedation and cosmetic dentistry and attended the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum at the University of Pacific. He also attended the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education under the direction of Dr. Frank Spear. He served as Chairman of the Redwood Empire Dental Society Continuing Education Committee from 1990-2005 and is currently a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Redwood Empire Dental Society.

Family Life and Community Involvement

After moving to Santa Rosa in 1985, Dr. Ferrick married his wonderful wife Nancy in 1991. The Ferricks are blessed with two great sons, Jordan and Gabriel. The newest addition to the Ferrick family is a Nelie, a four-year-old Chocolate Lab. In his spare time, Dr. Ferrick enjoys coaching Little League baseball and youth soccer. Other pastimes include photography, making and collecting wine, golf, tennis, hiking, and traveling. Dr. Ferrick also sits on the board of directors for his synagogue.

Kim – Office Manager

Kim keeps our practice running smoothly with her efficiency and attention to detail. In dentistry for over 35 years, Kim has been a member of our team for the past ten. She received her dental education at West Valley College and the Bryman School Dental Program where she won the Bryman School Award of Excellence. A member of the American Association of Dental Office Managers, Kim enjoys the progressive attitude of our practice and exceeding patient expectations. Her family consists of three grown children and a 1-year-old Queensland Healer. In her spare time, Kim enjoys cooking for family and friends, traveling, in-line skating, gardening, and sports. She is currently participating in a wine studies curriculum at Santa Rosa Junior College.

Kathryn - Front Office/Insurance Coordinator

As the newest member of our team, Kathryn has 10 years front office experience and enjoys interacting with all patients. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington. Kathryn enjoys spending time with her husband Zach, their two grown daughters and their "furry children". She also loves to travel, read and eat ethnic food.

Nicole – Registered Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions

Nicole has been an established presence at our dental office for the past 20 years. She holds registered dental assistant and extended function certification from Santa Rosa Junior College and the University of California at San Francisco, respectively. She enjoys providing a positive, pleasant experience for our patients and appreciates the fact that they look forward to seeing us! The mother of a 3-year-old daughter, Nicole loves sports, cooking, and baking.

Vera – Registered Dental Assistant

Vera has been with us for five years but has over 27 years of experience in dentistry. She enjoys helping patients achieve their smile goals and values the excellent dental care we provide everyone who visits our practice. A graduate of City College of San Francisco, Vera enjoys home improvement projects, movies, reading, traveling, and animals.

Corinne – Registered Dental Hygienist

Corinne has 17 years of experience in dental hygiene and has been with our practice for the past 6 years. She enjoys her patient and co-worker relationships and values being able to help people feel better about themselves. Corinne enjoys camping and going on school field trips with her two children.

Samantha – Registered Dental Hygienist

Samantha was Dr. Ferrick's patient as a child and returned to the nest as a valuable team member in 2000 after graduating from Santa Rosa Junior College and Lake Land College. She loves the professional fulfillment she gets from helping patients optimize their oral health. Samantha and her husband, Rudy, have two Jack Russell Terriers (she calls them Jack Russell Terrors!). She enjoys reading, traveling, walking her dogs, crafting, and computer-related activities.
