Regular dental checkups are vital to protect your family’s oral health. As a general dentist, Dr. Ferrick recommends that you schedule checkups* twice per year to maintain strong teeth and gums.

At your checkup, we’ll examine your existing dental work for wear, evaluate your bite, assess the health of your teeth and gums, and perform an oral cancer screening. Our non-invasive DIAGNOdent laser spots early-stage tooth decay, allowing us to preserve more of your tooth when performing a restoration. Digital X-rays provide us with a complete view of your oral health. During your exam, we’ll take pictures of your mouth with an intraoral camera and display the images on a chairside monitor. Viewing the condition of your teeth, gums, and existing dental work can help you make sound decisions when determining which therapies to pursue. Following your checkup, we’ll present a treatment plan for maintaining or restoring oral health.
